How Botifi Academy looks after an intern's information
Botifi Academy is run by Botifi AI in Atascadero, California. Our interns are young people, and some are under 18. This page says plainly what we keep, why, and who sees it.
Who can get in
Invite only. A parent or guardian sets up each intern's seat and sends a one-time sign-in link. There is no public sign-up and no way to join without a parent.
What we keep
The intern's first name, their conversations with the trainer, the websites they build, and a record of reviews and approvals. We do not collect addresses, school names, phone numbers, locations, contacts, photos or anything from the device beyond what is needed to keep them signed in.
Who sees it
The intern and their parent or guardian. The parent can read every conversation and see every site. Botifi staff look only to keep the programme safe or when the parent asks. We never sell it, never use it for advertising, and there are no ads, trackers or analytics anywhere in the Academy.
The AI
The trainer is an AI model provided by Anthropic, used through Botifi's own account. The intern never holds an account or key of their own. The intern's messages are sent to Anthropic to produce the trainer's replies and are handled under Botifi's agreement with Anthropic, which as of today says they are not used to train Anthropic's models.
Deleting things
An intern can delete any site they built at any time - California law gives minors that right, and we make it one button. A parent can ask for everything about their child to be deleted - conversations, sites and records - and it will be. Everything about an intern is deleted when they turn 18 unless they ask us, as adults, to keep it, or we are required to keep a safety record.
When we would share it
Never for money or marketing. We may share information if the law requires it, such as a court order, or to protect a young person from serious harm.
The law
We follow the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), California's law letting minors remove what they post (Business and Professions Code 22580-22582), and California's rules for AI chat with minors, including regular reminders that the trainer is an AI. We do not knowingly let anyone under 13 use the Academy without verified parental consent, and every intern's parent gives written consent before the first lesson.
